Identity Preservation and Food Safety Certification for Grain Handlers

CGC CIPRS and HACCP Program Background: 

Seeds Canada dba Centre for Systems Integration (CSI) offers auditing services for the Canadian Grain Commission's (CGC) Identity Preservation and Food Safety Certification programs for Canada's grain handling industry. CSI is accredited by the Canadian Grain Commission as an Accredited Service Provider

Canada has maintained a world-class reputation for supplying domestic and global markets with safe, high quality grains, oilseeds, and pulses. In a marketplace with ever-increasing demands for unique product specifications and traceability, there are many opportunities for agricultural products. The Canadian Grain Commission designed a voluntary program over twenty years ago to oversee and recognize the quality management and food safety systems implemented by the grain handling industry. The CGC's global presence and government oversight of the programs has helped Canadian companies access an ever-expanding global marketplace

General Program Requirements:

To particate in the Canadian Grain Commissions CIPRS, HACCP, and CCSP programs, applicants must:

  1. Submit an application to the Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) and pay the CGC's program fees. 
  2. Arrange to have an annual CGC program audit with an auditor contracted under a CGC Accredited Service Provider (ASP) such as CSI, and pay the audit fees. 
  3. Following the annual audit, pay the Accredited Service Provider's (ASP) annual program administration fees. 

Annual Accredited Service Provider Fees: 

Seeds Canada dba Centre for Systems Integration's (CSI) annual CGC program administration fees are used to cover the costs of our annual CGC accreditation fee, our ISO 17065 accreditation fees, to maintain our program documents, forms and audit software, to train and do oversight of our auditors, to pay our team to deliver the program, and to participate in CGC's annual Technical Expert Advisory Committee (TEAC) meetings. Following are CSI's annual ASP program administration fees for the current year: 

  • CGC CIPRS annual admin fee - $620 
  • CGC HACCP annual admin fee - $620 
  • CGC CIPRS + HACCP annual admin fee - $825 
  • CGC CCSP annual admin fee - $620
